Andrew is a second year at the University from Williamsburg, Virginia. He is a double major in history and foreign affairs. Andrew was involved in Model UN throughout middle and high school. He staffed the Jefferson Committee on Diplomacy at VAMUN XXVIII and was the Under-Secretary General for Committees at VAMUN XXIX. Besides IRO, Andrew is an active member on the Wilson Journal Editorial Board and participates in intramural sports. He looks forward to making this the best VAMUN conference ever and can't wait to see everyone on Grounds in November.
I'm Colin Custer and am firstyear studying politics and economics here at UVA. I went to high school at Douglas Freeman in Richmond, Virginia where I participated in Model UN all four years, including one year at The Hague International Model United Nations in Den Haag, The Netherlands. Here at UVA I'm in the Jefferson Society, the UVA ski team, club cross country, IRO, and, of course, VAMUN secretariat. I like The Shins, Guster, and Switchfoot, and really like reading. I'm excited to be working with y'all this year and know it is going to be a great conference.
Peter is a first year at UVa planning to study some combination of foreign affairs, environmental thought and practice, and economics. Although born and raised in Richmond, Virginia, he holds dual citizenship in both the US and the Netherlands. He has participated in Model UN since high school and has been an active member of IRO since he arrived at UVa. In addition to IRO, he is involved with University Democrats, the Jefferson Society, and IM soccer. He also enjoys listening to NPR and watching Scrubs. Peter is proud to be working with such an awesome secretariat, and looks forward to seeing everyone at VAMUN XXX in November.
Muna Ali is a secondyear student of the College of Arts and Sciences at the University. Originally from Somalia, she calls Fairfax, Virginia home. She is pursuing a degree in Foreign Affairs along with French. Muna has been involved in Model UN since sophomore year of high school participating in away conferences throughout high school. Upon coming to UVa, she joined the International Relations Organization to continue her love for Model UN by not only participating in conference at other universities but, also with staffing and chairing UVa own conferences, VAMUN and VICS. Along with IRO, Muna is part of Sustained Dialogue here on grounds as well as treasurer of CASA, Cuban-American Student Association.
Margaret Baird is a third-year Government/Political Theory major from Charlottesville, VA. After transferring from the University of South Carolina last fall, Margaret became very involved in the International Relations Organization, beginning with VAMUN XXIX last fall. Margaret was involved in Model UN in high school and was excited to find such an active program at the University. From after-school tutoring to UVA's own Summer Enrichment Program, Margaret has always devoted a lot of time to the academic success of middle and high school students. She is looking forward to hosting the best VAMUN yet!

Eleanor is a first year at UVA and is from Richmond, Virginia. She is double majoring in art history and art administration. Eleanor participated in Model UN for several years in high school, including The Hague International Model United Nations. While at UVA, Eleanor is involved in IRO (of course!), Madison House, and Kappa Delta Sorority. In her free time Eleanor enjoys reading, hiking, and spending time with friends. Eleanor is super excited for VAMUN XXX and can’t wait to meet all the new delegates!Â
Cindy Wei is a second year at UVA from Herndon, VA. She is planning on majoring in Economics with a minor in Foreign Affairs. Her love for Model UN was conceived her freshman year of high school and is very excited to have continued here in college. She served as co-chair of The Supreme Court of Justice of Peru at VICS last year and is very excited to be planning logistics for VAMUN XXX (especially the delegate dance ;)) In her spare time, she likes to be outdoors, get her hands busy with arts and crafts, and eat ferociously.
